Childhood Orthodontic Evaluation & Guidance Program
Dr. Kelson and the American Association of Orthodontics recommends that children be seen by an Orthodontist by age 7 for best results. Initially, Dr. Kelson will assess your child’s developing teeth and jaw relationships to advise whether Interceptive Care is recommended (see below) or if they should join our Guidance Program. In the Guidance Program, Dr. Kelson will monitor the growth rate and development patterns of the teeth and jaws as they mature; catching a problem at the right time will reduce time in braces and improve the final outcome. Monitoring occurs every 6 to 12 months depending on the need. There is no charge for this service.
Accelerated Orthodontic Care
Dr. Kelson is proud to offer this accelerated treatment option that allows your teeth to move 2-4 times faster than their normal rate in a healthy, supported way. This means you are able to enjoy your new smile dramatically faster than in traditional techniques. This is especially appreciated by our adult patients who want the benefits of a great smile, but for whom the time in traditional treatment is a concern.
Interceptive Orthodontic Care
Certain problems require treatment when a child’s teeth and jaws are developing. Severe crowding, crossbites, and impacting teeth are a few examples. If detected early, these problems can be corrected to prevent damage to adult teeth, and avoid more extensive treatment later. Some problems become worse as your child matures, fixing these problems while they are young allows for better smiles and healthier bites. The adage “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” holds true here.

This is where we diagnose and treat all aspects of the face, teeth, and jaws. We work to create an excellent smile, correct bite and proper facial balance for each patient. Accelerated Orthodontics
Dr. Kelson has additional specialized experience beyond the normal orthodontic training of 3 years, allowing him to practice Accelerated Orthodontics. With this exciting technique, teeth can move 2-4 times faster than their normal rate in a healthy, supported way; reducing time in braces and creating fantastic smiles
Crystal clear brackets
Leading edge material that is totally clear, taking on the color of your own teeth. Esthetics are important to anyone who needs orthodontic treatment. Our clear brackets are made of colorless, clear ceramic hybrid that will not absorb colors or odors. Dr. Kelson will assist you in choosing the brackets that will best meet your needs.
Invisalign
An alternative to braces, Invisalign uses a series of clear, removable, and comfortable aligners. Using advanced 3-D computer imaging technology, Dr. Kelson creates your complete treatment plan, from the initial position of your teeth to the final desired position. A series of clear aligners are then custom made for your teeth to move them little by little until the final position of your teeth is achieved. Your Invisalign treatment time will be determined based on your specific needs.

By working on multiple esthetic details earlier in treatment, you are able to experience smoother, more direct results; the bottom line for you: straight teeth sooner, less time in treatment.
Four Retainers
We go above and beyond to keep your teeth straight after your treatment is complete. You receive 2 permanent retainers behind the top and bottom teeth and 2 removable retainers that only need to be worn at night. You never have to wear them out of the house which means they will not be lost or broken; saving you time and money. As long as the retainers are worn as directed, your new smile will last your entire life.
Patient Protection
In our office, your safety is our highest priority. Throughout the day, we continuously and thoroughly sterilize our equipment for your protection. To ensure your safety, we follow a 3 step sterilization process with all instruments and handpieces.
01 CLEAN
First, they are brought into our sterilization room and placed in an ultrasonic cleaner to remove even microscopic debris.
02 RINSE
The instruments and handpieces are then rinsed thoroughly before being sterilized in an autoclave,
03 STERILIZE
After a through rinse, they are placed into our industry leading autoclave, which runs over 425 degrees; thereby destroying any and all bacteria and viruses, making the instruments completely sterile.
